Martha Wash was a member
of The Weather Girls,
a group widely-known
for its iconic hit "It's Raining Men".
She was also the voice behind
smash hits for artists like
C&C Music Factory and Black Box.
The singer filed lawsuits against
the record label and producers
who credited others with her voice,
ultimately reclaiming ownership
of her work in court.
She is a passionate
advocate for social causes,
with particular focus
on women's rights
and the LGBTQIAPN+ community.
